Director Research & Analytics

Description

Bridge Worldwide is seeking a Director to lead a team of Researchers in our
Cincinnati office. Reporting to the Vice President, Experience Planning &
Research this position will oversee day-to-day activities for a team focused
on utilizing qualitative and quantitative research to insure consumer
insight and understanding are driving all solutions. This is a highly
visible position within the organization with the opportunity to
significantly impact our work across the board.

Responsibilities

§ Oversee day-to-day activities of a team of Researchers including
staffing, mentoring, training and career development.

§ Work closely with account, experience planning, strategy, project
management, creative and technology teams to deliver world-class interactive
solutions that match our clients’ business goals to the needs of their
customers.

§ Oversee work schedules, project approach, scope and estimate
development.

§ Provide hands-on leadership on key accounts, projects and new
business efforts.

§ Oversee process and delivery for monthly client scorecards and Web
traffic reports.

§ Provide thought leadership within the agency and across the
industry.

§ Participate in leadership activities as a functional manager
within the agency.

Qualifications

§ Experience staffing, managing, and growing a team.

§ Track record of strong leadership and collaboration.

§ In depth knowledge of leading marketing research and web analytics
software, tools, and methodologies.

§ Minimum 8 years experience in an interactive agency, internet
consultancy or corporate research setting.

§ Proven experience developing, executing, analyzing and
synthesizing research across a broad range of quantitative and qualitative
techniques.

§ Experience analyzing online user behavior including gathering and
analyzing data to identify key performance indicators, understand online
traffic patterns, segment customer behaviors, and drive actionable business
insights.

§ Experience in interactive marketing or business consulting using
data and information to drive specific targeting and marketing
recommendations.

§ Superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

§ Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing/Research or equivalent,
Masters/MBA a plus.

Job Mission:
To define customer site behaviour tracking, mine and analyse the
results and recommend and communicate the changes required by Expedia
to ensure our site is the optimal tool for driving long term
profitability from customers. Ensure new site developments are
effectively tracked for returns on investments to be accurately
established and reported

Key Areas Of Responsibility:

•Produce recommendations for site (incl merchandising and navigation)
improvements on a weekly basis
•Design and automate site customer behaviour reporting for weekly,
monthly and quarterly review
•Specify and project manage implementation of tracking tags
throughout Expedia.co.uk
•Specify and project manage implementation of tracking tags in
communications (SEM, email, graphical banners, URL redirects, etc…)
•Analyse traffic from various marketing channels and identify how
best to optimise conversion across the site
•Ensure all required reporting measures are in place to accurately
establish and communicate the returns from each new site development
•Provide ad hoc analysis into specific issues regarding site usage
behaviour
•Work closely with EU Web Analytics Project Manager to ensure UK
requirement fits into an overall integrated EU solution
•Communicate insights and inspire positive actions from the Retail
team, site Prodcution team and the Expedia Management Team
•Proactively mine data and conduct analysis to improve conversion,
customer retention and customer profitability from the site design,
merchandising and customer paths
•Work closely with UK Customer and Product Analytics Managers to
provide greater information based on product sales/demand and
customer insights/segmentation

Victoria's Secret: Sr. Analyst, Internet Marketing

Location: Columbus, OH

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD:

• Have an understanding of web marketing techniques, especially
in banner ads and paid search. Experience in affiliate marketing a
plus
• Have experience in using Coremetrics and Atlas ad server a
plus
• Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Have experience analyzing large datasets to gain insights and
drive business decisions
• Be highly organized and have a proven multi-tasking ability
• Posess strong written and verbal communication presentation
skills
• Have enthusiasm & energy to stay current on the latest
internet marketing trends

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Assist in determining and executing the best strategies to
promote the Victoria's Secret brand and internet site through
internet marketing programs, leveraging Victoria's Secret's sales
channels and traditional media
• Work closely with Internet creative team and web merchants to
develop and execute online creative assets. Partner with advertising
agency and internal team to ensure timely delivery, leveraging of
Victoria's Secret's product & offers while meeting the needs in
today's diversified Internet media environment
• Manage search marketing campaigns for multiple product
categories at first and second-tier search engines. Work with
merchants and advertising agency to expand keyword inventory. Gauge
customer metrics to determine and implement bidding strategy. Test ad
copy and optimize landing pages
• Analyze Internet marketing campaign performance by analyzing
media performance data from ad server and user behavior data using
Coremetrics with the support of the web metrics team.
• Identify, monitor and explain variances to pre-defined
strategy for each campaign.
• Stay current with business results, strategies and industry
standards and practices.
• Contribute in new customer acquisition opportunities in
affiliate marketing, SEO, shopping comparison site, and new emerging
media (blogging, social networking web sites)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Education: BA/BS in Marketing, Business or related degree
required
• 3+ years experience in Internet marketing
• Internet and/or catalog retail experience
